A Polish Immigrant's Journey to St Kilda

Born in Warsaw in 1954, while the city was under communist rule. As a child his family were constantly on the move to avoid the persecution of intellectuals. In 1980 at age 26 he left Poland for good with nothing but a small suitcase and his passport.
