A Late Summer Country House Wedding

Let's greet, an author and translator and Matt, a relevant video game tester, who're originally from Austria but have lived together in London since 2018. They wed within an intimate ceremony with 20 guests on 2 September 2019 within the beautiful, countryside venue of, near Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. With a loose theme of poppies, they wove in aspects of their favorite things; karaoke, travel, and relaxed times.

"We met at the office in a marketing agency home in Austria, where Matt was the CTO and Johanna was employed as a copywriter. We were just co-workers and friends for 2 years before we became a couple in 2015. We got engaged in February 2018 soon after Valentine’s Day (Matt already had the ring with him on Valentine’s but couldn’t find the right moment) in your own home in our comfy clothes, then a bowl of cereal."

Rather than get a traditional wedding gown, Johanna fell deeply in love with a delicately-embroidered, high-necked gown, combined with a quirky short veil. I love the ruffled lace that edges the armholes and neckline.

"I didn't wish to wear a traditional wedding gown and wanted something whimsical and unique."

She accessorized by having a string of vintage pearls, provided to her to put on by her mother, in addition to moonstone earrings and bracelets. She also wore a set of lace-up chunky heels, purchased from an Austrian store.

Her flawless make-up ended in Nottingham, who also swept up her dark hair into a stylish chignon.

Her dainty bouquet of poppies along with other late summer flowers was styled.

Matt decided on a smart, tailored suit in blue, having a neutral tie and brown brogues in addition to a pocket watch.

"Matt had his suit custom-tailored at Moss Brothers Croydon who has been very helpful when choosing the different elements. Matt wanted something unique yet somewhat affordable, a suit he can use more than once."

The couple's marriage ceremony was held within the Hall’s Main Dining Room, and Johanna walked down the aisle together with her mum to some duet version of 'Making Love (Out of Nothing At All)' in the musical 'Bat Out Of Hell'.

"We both wrote our very own vows. We didn't share all of them beforehand but coincidentally both of us mentioned a few of the same things."

"For example, Matt knows just how I drink my coffee and brings it in my experience every morning and that people love doing the crossword from an Austrian newspaper called Der Standard together."

Matt and Johanna exchanged rings they found inside a jewelry shop in Hatton Garden, London, before getting to celebrate using their family and friends.

I love their ceremony photos; the very first kiss is passionate and loving.

These beautiful, documentary-style photographs are filled with movement and joy, and the romantic garden photographs are simply exquisite.

Later on, the newlyweds, as well as their guests, sat down along elegantly-dressed tables for that wedding breakfast, supplied by Langar Hall. The single-tier, semi-naked cake using its dressing of fresh flowers, was supplied by.

As well as garden games in the afternoon, the entertainment originated. It looks as though the guests had the time of their lives, singing into the night.

"We were built with a choreographed first dance to some medley of 'Never Saw Blue Like That' by Shawn Colvin and 'I Touch Myself by Divinyls."

"We loved your day in its entirety, however, the best part ended up being to be married to the person we like by the end of it."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

Johanna: "Never lose sight of the most basic thing, your love for your lover. That's the only real thing that matters at the end from it."

Matt: "Plan the wedding for you, not for the guests. Make sure you'll possess some time on your own."
