The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in radiology has become increasingly popular due to the exponential growth of medical data and the limitations of traditional methods.

As per Jasper Colin’s recent report, the market for AI in medical imaging is projected to reach $9 billion by 2027, and it has been reported that AI increases radiologist efficiency by up to 12% and can detect abnormal chest X-rays up to 4 times faster.

Despite the potential benefits, only 30% of radiologists currently use AI in their practice, with 70% holding no plans to pay for AI and 80% seeing no benefit. Careful consideration of the benefits and risks of integrating AI into clinical practice is necessary for its successful implementation.
