An Intimate Island Wedding in Slovenia

Solicitor and a project manager traveled to Lake Bled in Slovenia for his or her intimate wedding on 15 June 2018. They fell deeply in love with the area on vacation in September 2016, and James also proposed here. As part of a week-long holiday, they married inside a religious ceremony with a reception afterward in the majestic, using its breath-taking views within the lake.

"The theme that people tried to follow was classic elegance, having a rustic twist. The groomsmen wore tuxedos and the color palette was white, foliage, and muted blush pink to go with my Art Deco dress."

"We can't recommend Lucy enough. We booked a photographer and seem like we have come away from your wedding having a friend. She made us feel relaxed on the big day of our lives and she has created the most basic and creative wedding photos for all of us, which we'll always treasure! The colors are extremely vivid and we now have had a lot of comments on them. On your day, Lucy was assisted by, her second shooter who had been also fantastic and certainly deserves a mention."

The bride chose some gorgeous accessories to enhance her gown; a delicate crystal navette headband is worn across her forehead for any touch of 30s sass and emerald-cut earrings – a present from James inside a cut to complement her diamond engagement ring. Her block-heeled suede sandals are a design, and she or he wore a super-summery scent;

Charlotte and James are childhood sweethearts coupled with an engagement of nearly 2 yrs.

"We met at school coupled with known one another since the chronological age of five although we became friends whenever we were around 14 and became boyfriend and girlfriend whenever we were 16."

The groom and the groomsmen decided to follow a black-tie theme, donning tuxedoes, braces, and bow-ties for his or her dapper look.

James' trousers were whilst his cream tux would be a style. Special touches were his watch from Emporio Armani, shoes, and cufflinks.

The bridesmaid gowns were an excellent match for that couple's color pattern. The girls look so elegant within their pink 30s-inspired satin and georgette gowns with softly draped cowl necks.

"I have always loved roses and peonies and knew that I desired to incorporate these into mine and my bridesmaids' bouquets. As our theme was built with a rustic twist, I desired to make sure the bouquets were slightly unstructured and coupled with a lot of foliage, which may tie within our table decorations in the venue. Again, our color palette was white, foliage, and pale blush pink to tie within the bridesmaid dresses."

"We both have quite classic, traditional tastes and knew we wanted to obtain married inside a church, and also have our reception/day inside a place with historical-cultural significance – we, therefore, had our wedding ceremony in the Church from the Assumption of Maria and our wedding party at Bled Castle."

After the ceremony, everyone piled into the sunshine to savor traditional Potica cake, savory cakes, fruit, and Champagne and drink within the beautiful location.

"We prepared our very own music playlist and took a children's disco light – the setting and company were enough!"

"Both James and I love Coldplay's 'Green Eyes'. It discusses life being better because you met an individual and feeling solid and unshakeable when you're together, therefore it felt fitting for our big day. We also both coincidentally have green eyes."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"We decided that people were going to create our wedding the very best day in our lives and for all of us, that meant a celebration of everywhere, everything and everyone both of us love! Yes, we'd doubts and stress on the way but we're both so glad that people decided to create 'our big day' actually ours!"
