Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle



Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there has to be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”acim authors

 

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your life because it is apparently these days with regards to the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So once we talk about the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon all of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's kind of like making a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. A good wind arrives and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon everything else; those things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments.



Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It really comes down to the essence of who is my brother? Could it be Spirit or matter? Could it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. This really is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.



Now, He's talking about thoughts. First He's talking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.



The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What kind of things would you purchase, these days?
