There are so many fashion faux pas that you can do in the summer season. While most of us like to think that we have our fashion senses to guide us properly, we make far too many mistakes to actually consider ourselves a fashion guru.

There is no harm in looking for advice that will make dressing up a better experience. Summer season can quickly become unbearable for us before we even know it. We might think that the way we dress is the right way to go, but we make some very big mistakes without even knowing it.

Here are some tips on what not to wear during the summer season and to fill in your wardrobe with the right summer clothes that will make you feel good, cool and comfortable.

Never Wear Skinny Jeans

You might think all kinds of jeans can be worn at any time of the year, but this is a wrong notion. Even though they look good, skinny jeans are not the jeans you should be wearing in the middle of the summer. These jeans are made from synthetic materials that are not as breathable as you may think. This is why you need to look for loose or straight jeans that are made from cotton or a lighter denim. They look much more stylish and are breathable.

Thick, Heavy Blouses

You might be tempted to wear your solid color and ribbed tops, but that is the worst thing you could do to yourself. The heavy and thick blouses look great because they are made from polyester. They cling to all the right curves on your body, but they are not breathable at all. They are the worst to wear on a hot and humid day which will make you sweat a lot more than you bargained for. Instead of wearing something so restrictive and clingy that will make you sweaty and suffocated, you need to wear tops that are looser and breathable. Materials such as cotton and linen are a great option for shirts. If you are comfortable, you can wear sleeveless tops and make sure they are looser and flowy.

Choice of Blazers

You might be tempted to wear your wool blazers and try to get the chic look, but that is not something you need to do in the midst of the summer. If the occasion asks for a more formal dressing up, you should look for blazers that are light and are made from lighter materials. Look for cardigans and blazers that are made from linen. You can easily find these cardigans and blazers online and at your local stores. Look for neutral colors or pastel colors that will go with a variety of clothes and colors in your wardrobe.

There are some other things that you should not do. Instead of wearing pumps, you need to wear mules or heeled sandals. On you nights out, wear linen bottoms instead of PVC or leather bottoms. Mock necks and turtlenecks look good, but you should forgive them for trendy tanks to feel comfortable in the heat.
