Fico Gutierrez continues to conquer voters. He has launched a new campaign in Boyaca including a visits to the Virgin of Chiquinquira

The presidential candidate Federico Gutierrez is clear that votes are obtained on the streets. There are than 32 days to be in the lead for the first presidential election, in which he'll be competing against Gustavo Petro, his main rival in the race for the House of Narino quota in the eventual second round.

Gutierrez began his day early this Saturday morning to Boyaca the religious department in accordance with tradition. It was also the place that, Petro visited this Friday. The former mayor, currently running for the center-right, made his way to Tunja where he had a meeting with academics and businessmen as well with agricultural farmers and peasants.

The main gathering of Fico was held at the Tunja Convention Center, where the president gathered a large crowd of people who announced their support at the polls on May 29.

With ruana and a plethora of Colombians behind Federico, the candidate for the Team for Colombia, Federico posted a tweet on Twitter where he expressed his gratitude to the people of Tunja as well as saying: "we're Going to win We all, we go for the presidency to unite and transform Colombia," said the president's candidate while recording a cluster of supporters and never letting up.

"Happy at home in Boyaca! He wrote "Happy in Boyaca!

The second poll-pointer walked into the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira on the way. The strategically placed spot is where a multitude of faithful and followers from different parts of the country gather on weekends. In the the attention of his followers, as well as those who were waiting for the morning Eucharist, the leader from the center-right kneeled and presented himself to the Virgin.

"I requested wisdom from the Virgin. asked her to aid me and all families in Colombia in achieving peace and humility." He replied.

In the same location, the presidential candidate recorded his visit on video. Before entering, he met with a number of residents from the area who embraced him and also donned the uniform of the Colombian municipality.

Gutierrez was welcomed to the church with the Boyacan ruana (traditional Boyacan ruana) and the medal from the Virgin of Chiquinquira (a symbol of spirituality that he displayed throughout his political campaign). It is possible that you remember that the Antioquian visited Jericho in Antioquia three weeks ago. Then, he was at Mother Laura's birthplace which is the sole Colombian saint to be canonized recently by Pope Francis.

The candidate in Chiquinquira took the opportunity to meet the people and make announcements for those who would be arriving at the presidential palace. "Key issues for Chiquinquira is the provision of drinking water for all its residents, maintenance and construction of roads (especially the Ruta de los Comuneros and the Ubate-Chiquinquira section) and tourism as a way to create jobs and sustainably developed growth." Employment and mining were other major issues addressed by the leader of the paisa.

Fico Gutierrez has spoken out about the need for work. He stated that Tunja is second on the list with regard to the unemployment rate. Accordingly the plan of his government seeks the creation of "about 22,000 jobs , and at most 300 new companies in Boyaca".

On the other hand, he stated that sustainable mobility must be developed within the department. To accomplish this, he shared that the reorganization of the Strategic Public Transport System should be a top priority. Together, declared that he will continue to build roads and bike routes.

The most recent post on his Twitter included the following message: "Peasants, farmers of Boyaca: We will work to make more income and opportunities for you and to re-honor our field." Gutierrez will continue to reach out to Colombians and sharing his government's plan. Gutierrez also is hoping to be prominent in the next election on May 29.
