Freelance infrastructure technician

The Infrastructure Technician is an IT professional who delivers technological support to external and internal customers. Technicians enable customer success in assisting client utilization of technology in their jobs at home or the office. They use several tools for solving technical problems and managing client issues.

To keep up the normal business function of various sectors an infrastructure technician delivers maintenance to internal and external stakeholder, helping them to increase their productivity by using technology to perform the jobs. Technicians make use of different tools and techniques to solve the issues and fixes non-routine issues.

The role of the Infrastructure Technician is to plan and perform the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to make sure the steady operation of the organizational IT resources.

It includes developing, designing, maintaining, assisting, and adjusting all new and present network hardware, software, and communication techniques. Technician’s role is also accountable for telephone, data center, security systems and other related electronic infrastructure for business.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoots problem areas as required
Oversee network traffic along with LAN and WAN installation
Inspect LAN and WAN infrastructure for problems
Design and install high-functioning computer network connections including cabling
Address and solve system failures to increase network uptime
Evaluate network functionality and create data backups
Technicians provide end-user PC hardware and software application trouble resolution, along with support for other IT assets onsite, such as the Local Area Network (LAN), servers and email. Technicians are responsible for the design, procurement, installation and configuration of all IT infrastructure that supports the efficient use of technology at the site. This includes power consumption, monitoring hardware, and software and disaster recovery.
