Zomato, founded in 2008, is an Indian restaurant aggregator and food delivery service. Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah founded it. Aside from delivering food from partner restaurants in selected cities to customers, it provides restaurant information, menus, and user ratings. Partner restaurants must obtain an FSSAI food safety registration license in order to post on the Zomato web platform. Zomato does not allow partner restaurants to list on their application unless they have an .FSSAI license

The FSSAI license is the second most important and necessary license for starting any food business in India. The FSSAI is in charge of guaranteeing public health protection and promotion through food safety regulation and oversight.

This license can be obtained by submitting an application to the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI). In general, there are three types of FSSAI licenses available:

Basic FSSAI Registration

        • Plan or certificate for a Food Safety Management System.

        • Meat and processing units, if appropriate, can be found at the following websites:
        • A letter of approval from the municipality and/or local body, if relevant, is required for the event.
        • If applicable, a certificate of incorporation from the MCA. The proof of turnover, if relevant.
        • FOR IMPORTERS, FSSAI issues NOC/PA, and DGFT issues an IE code.
        • If applicable, a certificate is issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
        • If applicable, provide confirmation of vehicle turnover.
        • A formal FSSAI Declaration is required.
