Through his personal Instagram account, Lee Jung Jae posted a video of himself opening a gift box from Jennie. On March 5, Jennie and Lee Jung Jae's unexpected friendship made headlines.

Lee Jung Jae tagged Jennie on Instagram with a video of her opening a gift by the idol, along with the simple caption, "Thank you". The gifted purple box features a vibrant bouquet of flowers and sunglasses from one of Jennie's sponsors.

Many fans from all over the world shared the unexpected but pleasant surprise in the comments below the post. Previously, Jennie revealed that her mother was a big fan of Lee Jung Jae. However, she chose "Jennie" which has a similar pronunciation to "Jae Hee" because the baby is a girl.

Meanwhile, thanks to his role in "Squid Game", Lee Jung Jae took home the prestigious Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series award at the Screen Actors Guild Award. The 49-year-old actor also earned nominations at the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
