https://www.grupoenergiadebogota.com/content/download/5967/88919/fi... , Gustavo Petro, the candidate for Gustavo Petro, confirmed the favorable polls that have been indicating for several weeks.

(Positions of candidates for the Historic Pact to Pensions and Inflation).

In the end, the former mayor of Bogota and former senator of the Republic has been able to gain the victory within the Historic Pact coalition and officially becomes a candidate for Presidency of the Republic the United States, a position to which he aspires for the third time.

Despite his controversial views on various fronts and ideas, the high voting during the consultation has been a sign of his status as the most representative of Colombia's left.

Petro announced his plans to reform the pension system with the creation of a public administrator of the pension fund. The pension system will be "mixed" and complement the private fund.

According Petro, there is no pension system in Colombia. But banks make profits. A lot of people have stated that Petro will eliminate any chance of being elected as president. Petro has recently said, however, that he wouldn't abolish pensions, but would try to overhaul the system of pensions in Colombia in order achieve the minimum amount of pensions for Colombians. https://www.bluradio.com/noticias/gustavo-petro stated that it's not required to raise the pension age.

Another thing that has been criticized about him is the fact that he has repeatedly stated that he will cease the extraction of oil once he comes into the helm. This has led to uncertainty among investors as well in the market.

Experts predict that Petro's proposal end to exploration for oil would cost Colombia an estimated $4.3 billion in loss.

I also suggest to establish an anti-oil front in the region, and around the world. This would help shift the economy away from fossil fuels. To this I would like to invite Gabriel Boric (the new Chilean president) and LuizInacio Lula da Silva (the Brazilian LuizInacio Lula da Silva) as well as other.

Petro said he'd met with Pedro Sanchez, Spain's Prime Minister, about his proposal.

His views on health are as well controversial. He has called for the removal of EPS and replaced it with a model of preventive medicine that "guarantees the rights of people and not the profits margins of bankers."

He also questioned the autonomy of Banco de la Republica, and declared that he will also reform the institution should he being elected President.

Petro claimed that the Bank Board of Directors belonged to the Democratic Center and "What we need is an independent Bank of the Republic (...) it seems crucial that the board of directors has the presence of society members," the candidate stated during the debate.

https://www.pulzo.com/noticias/gustavo-petro says that Petro is the main vote intention in the presidential election.

The idea of creating funds to finance government expenditure was also controversial.

https://caracol.com.co/tag/gustavo_francisco_petro_urrego/a/ of the main elements of Petro's plan are an economy that does not depend on fossil fuels, mining, or extraction of hydrocarbons, and greater importance for agriculture.

https://www.elespectador.com/tags/gustavo-petro/ is also mentioned that he would introduce a tax reform that would remove exemptions and transform minimum wage concepts into real wages based on income and capital.
