Locate a storage option that works. You will need a device that can store any kind of data you need to back up. At least twice as much space must be set aside for this as there is for the hard drive you want to backup. The best option is an external hard drive, which is easy to find. If you want to use the current computer memory as a backup, you can also create a partition. However, you should be aware that this is a less secure option because the system is still susceptible to threats and hard drive failures.

Now connect the gadget to your computer. Connect the storage device to the computer you want to backup using a USB cable or another method. When the device is inserted, a dialog box asking what you want to do with it should automatically appear. Using the device as a backup and opening the File History should be one of the options. Choose this alternative. If this dialog does not open automatically, you must manually set up the backup by using the search and looking through the File History. If not, the Control Panel can be used to configure it. Many of these computer and laptop repairs can be handled by us, even though we frequently stick to computer support for these minor issues. Set advanced options. After the program has launched, you may want to make some changes in the Advanced Settings section, which is accessed from the left. You will be able to change how frequently the computer creates backups, how long files are kept, and how much space is allowed to be taken up by doing this.

Make a backup drive yours. Once the settings are configured, make sure the appropriate backup drive is selected (as the external drive must be selected by default).

"Turn on" now. Click "Turn on" once all the settings have been correctly entered. The process must start with this. Be aware that the initial backup can take some time, and you may want to begin the process after work or before leaving for the day so that you won't need to use the computer during that time. It's all over; you're done!
