It is interesting to note how in the beginning

Unlike aircraft models, whose history goes back to ancient times, the story of radio control cars is located in more contemporary   times, in the years following the Second World War and in full context of the Cold War. Conversely, there is no exact date. To fully understand how this rc techno started, it is good to learn basic and interesting facts. Its specifics are just majestic.

Moreover, to surprise of many, the 1st rudimentary cars where great! They had a free and circular motion over land. And just as it happened with the aircraft, the existing models were developed in mini scale for military purposes, quite understandable given the historical circumstances in which self-models emerge.

It is interesting to note how in the beginning, from the innovations used radio control cars and rc aircraft technical advances, the first radio controlled cars did not use digital control radios and methanol engines of aircraft. Subsequently, given the differences with the model of rc airplanes, many cars manufacturers began to develop mini scale cars- this was a dedicated production line for both ultra engines, cooling systems, suspension, noise control, 3 axis servo robot arm Manufacturers etc.

As we know, radio control cars, according to the surface on which the wheel and drive are, are divided into two groups, respectively, off-road or track, and gas or electric. Let's see now, in what order and under what conditions were appearing every one of them. The first car that appears in the form closest to what it is now known is the track, asphalt or Touring on a scale of 1 / 8. Let's look at the elements that showed: rear wheel drive, a 3.5 cc engine with fuel methanol, two-channel radio without suspension. These first models of cars are called "tables". In the 1970s, when radio controlled model cars was in its infancy, the suspensions were still quite far from reality. In the rear, the wheels were in solidarity with the rear axle, two wheel drive. In the front, the knuckle served the same function, i.e. converting the directional model. This can be quite complex, but it is not part of this new rc technology. Evolutions brought a grandiose perspective for everyone.

What is today called a bar front axle was fixed with the U-shaped terminal lying, when this was made adjustable, it was possible to determine the slope (called "caster angle") of the spindles and improve driving conditions of radio control cars models.
