Laser shot tester - setting RedDot & Scope made easy!

Laser shot tester

Adjusting optics, be it a RedDot or a scope / riflescope, can be very time, BB and nerve consuming! The adjustment wheels for height and side are not labeled in the same way and are therefore misleading. An "R" can mean "to the right" but also "when shooting to the right", that is to say move the target green laser pointer to the left or to the right. If you are alone, the "shooting - checking - lowering - screwing around - shooting - checking - lowering - screwing around - ..." is very tedious.

A shot tester with a laser in the center of the barrel can help. This sighting aid is called "laser shot tester" or "laser bore sight" in the trade. A real dream for adjusting RedDots & Scopes.

In this post I introduce the "Burning Laser Pointers", explain the function and give you a few sources of supply.
I bought the "EA Laser Bore Sight Collimator" GF 301 with the item number BS-LS-17-301. As with many articles, one and the same blue laser is sold under different trade names. But my detailed photos will certainly help you further ... ;-). Costs approx. 20 USD, e.g. at www.htpow.comsearch for "laser bore" (there up to approx. 30 EUR, but certainly less shipping costs). Ebairsoft also has one in its range, looks very high quality and currently costs 50USD.

I didn't want to spend so much to test these devices - the $ 20 models are very accurate and are enough for Airsoft.

The "Laser Bore Sighter" is delivered in a nice cardboard box:

Inside everything is nicely padded with foam rubber:

The scope of delivery includes the high powered laser Bore Sighter, an Allen key (not in the picture), a Phillips screwdriver, the instructions, suitable batteries and 4 attachments for calibers 0.280-0.434 inches. Our 6mm BBs have 0.236 "(cal .236). The smallest attachment is intended for this.

The device is made of metal. NEVER touch the four Allen screws on the head! This centered the laser in the factory. The inscription: a printed "ACCURATE Laser bore sighter" and a laser warning sticker on the back.

The grooved part at the back is the battery compartment and at the same time the switch. If the elevation is in this position, the laser sighter is switched on.
