1. Ignore the people crying about the DLC being too hard - they're just crap. The 'dog level' took me 2 attempts and 10 minutes to finish. 2. I enjoyed the different mechanics in the DLC - was a nice change and added to the original. 3. It is a little clunky in some areas but not game breaking. 4. $5 is a bit steep for what you get. 4 levels that wil take you maybe 30 minutes seems a bit short for a DLC Overall, not bad. If you enjoyed the original, you'll probably enjoy the DLC - as long as you understand what you're getting for the money.. Bought "High Crimes DLC" today, can't find it in game even after following what the developer said. :( "make sure your game dont require update, then just click continue in main menu of Party Hard, and you will see two hands with labels under them, one is - standard campaign, the second one is dlc campaign.. The High Crimes DLC is pretty much a splendid and fun continuation of the Party Hard of the original game and could be considered a mini sequel of the base game and this time with a brand no approach to the game that still keeps that Party Hard Genocide fun intact. The new DLC aims to capture what made Party Hard fun and challenging while mixing it up with a style of play. Ghetto still keeps the theme of Kill them all but its not the main goal at all. Rather, the goal is to kill people to get money so you can lure away the guard dogs protecting the drug dealer so you can in turn kill him. Police Department is dedicated stealth. Hide in cabinets to watch the police patrol patterns while you find all the keys to get to the Police Chief. Porno is the return of Kill them all style but this time with a new item to use and boy are you going to need it with the amount of open areas and crowded people in this map. I mean, there is SWAT, FBI, Camera Guards, and even a Military Guard, all of which will kick youu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665to hell and back if you don't deal with them cleverly. So make sure to take it nice and slow when you play, don't want to ruin a near perfect run. Lastly is High Crime, a mix bag of dedicated stealth, kill them all, a puzzle section, and a boss fight. A u2665u2665u2665u2665ing boss fight. In a stealth game. Sign me up. While there isn't as much bright neon colors and 80's esque feels to it, this perfectly reflects the story considering that the city is corrupted with a police force that seems to encourage crime and not care to take care of any problems anymore which is mostly likely an effect of the Party Hard Killers toll in the base game. The music this time around however, is definitly a step up from the base game with tracks that fit each level perfectly. High Crimes may have a few flaws at launch, but Pinokl Games is hard at work fixing any and all bugs as quick as they can while also offering some new content such as a local Multiplayer and a new character, coming soon. Personally, the only flaw with High Crimes might be the price. With only 4 levels for 4.99 USD, that may seem a bit steep for some but a challenging game really makes it all feel worthwhile. I also see the price as being a way to support the devs who care alot about their product and want to see become great as they keep bug fixing the game while adding new content here and there WHILE working on Party Hard Tycoon, a spin off game and maybe even Party Hard 2. Either way, High Crimes is a definite improvment over the base came by mixing up the gameplay here and there to provide a fun, challenging, and groovy experience.. When I originally posted this the boss on level 4 for virtually impossible to beat. RNG for where he moved and how fast he fired, with barely any warning for when he would. Not a day later, the Devs do a patch and ask me to try again. Now. Party Hard isn't built for bosses. Being one shot killed kind of doesn't flow well together with it. Thanks to the update they have done, the boss is now somewhat more reliable to beat. More warning for when he's about to fire, and a bit more time between shots, these two little things make a huge difference. So I'm turning my review from thumbs down to thumbs up. I don't like the boss fight, but with devs this willing to make changes and so quickly, that's exactly the type of people you should want to support. People willing to interact with their community. That's the reason I bought the dlc in the first place. To support these guys, and this small little update, only reassures my mindset. Original Review: I bought this dlc mostly to support the devs. It adds some new mechanics and things which are nice. But the boss fight it adds to the 4th level is absolutely terrible. Relying on RNG completely to be able to beat it. (I could not beat it after an hour of trying.) Worth it if you want to support the game, but if you want better content, wait until the Party Hard Tycoon.. This DLC is short but very fun and adds a small spice to the game, I highly recommend you download this DLC.. Going to try to keep this short and sweet, otherwise I'll spend hours talking about how good this DLC was. Don't get me wrong, the base game is fantastic, but this is closer to what I first pictured when I'd bought the game. The maps are enormous compared to the base game, almost like Dark Castle. Every map scrolls, there's several rooms rather than one big open space, and the last stage is big enough to have three floors. There's several new systems added, from guns to cameras to even a boss fight . The last stage features a puzzle as well, which was incredibly fun to work through. In case anyone cringed at the word 'gun' like I did, there's no need to worry- It's used as a one-stage novelty, keeping the game from being too easy. Speaking of 'too easy', this is hardly a complaint, but be ready for a challenge. It took me nearly a week to beat all four stages playing as the Ninja, I don't even want to imagine trying to play it as Darius. Story-wise, while the cutscenes did feature better voice acting and animations, the plot seemed a bit rushed, and never really went over what exactly happened to Darius and John West over the past 10 years. Don't expect any questions to be answered, and especially don't be surprised if you leave with even more questions than you started out with. All in all, I'd get this if you liked the original game, but wanted to see it fleshed out a little more. It was a lot of fun, and I appreciate the extra effort that went into it.. The DLC is a fantastic addition to the game. It adds a bunch of new mechanics and gameplay. Although it had a rough start with the bugs, the developers are on top of the game, making sure that the game works as intended. With all of the updates and tweaks that the developers rolled out, it really fixed the game, so the bugs listed before are pretty much gone. But as for the DLC itself, each stage introduces something new. Large maps, new missions, and a new story really change the way the game was meant to be played. Previous review: (This dlc throws a lot of new mechanics at you, and its neat. Now if only it weren't as buggy as it is, this would get a positive rating. I can't enter any shortcuts, the game keeps me at the end stats when complete a stage. It's really difficult to play with all the bugs.. Seems like, the developers wanted to sell four levels for five dollars, when the base game costs three times as much with nearly five times as many levels. So they just made the levels absurdly difficult and tedious to ensure players would spend a lot of time trying to beat them; and so falsely believe the content had enough playtime worth five dollars. Even though that playtime is only that long because the content is overly difficult. The first level is an assassination mission with instant kill dogs walking around. Players have to lure them away with food they buy with cash found from killing people. Although the last two dogs guarding the target have no food bowls near them so I have no idea how that is even done. The mission objective is linear and rigid, which is not what the base game was about at all. Players have a specific target, and that specific target can only be reached in a specific way. It is thus a literal puzzle, with random chance added into it based on where the dogs and people wander. The dogs kill the player immediately if they get anywhere near them. Anywhere remotely near them. Their line of sight is huge. Traps do not work on them, and the player cannot out run them. They are just instant kills floating around the map. They are also darkly coloured hunched over instant kills which are extremely easy to not notice because they don't stand out among the map or crowd at all. So over half the time, I couldn't even tell where they were, and you need to know where they are to avoid them, which means the information the player needs to survive is not properly telegraphed to them thus resulting in death. You can even look at the screenshot the developers have of that map, and can see how subtle the appearance of the darkly coloured dogs on the darkly coloured floor surrounded by brightly coloured people and objects is. The map is cramped and dense yet has barely any walls or structures to block visibility so actually killing people in the conventional fashion is very difficult and rare because you're basically trying to do it while all of you are standing in a closet. Players cannot even enter the map when they start the game, a dog wanders over and blocks the entrance for several seconds and forces the player to stand outside and wait for it to leave. Is that there to annoy the player or is it meant to pad out of the playtime even more; because that seems to be the only thing the developers were concerned with here. Overly difficult arbitrary level design which betrays the open ended massacre gameplay of the actual game, for the sake of forcing players to spend lots of time on not a lot of levels so the developers can justify the price tag. It's not fun, it's just a chore. Figure out the thing, try to do the thing, eventually do the thing, beat the level. Could just look up a walkthrough and get the answer to begin with to beat the level without the frustration and wasted time.
