Manchester United host Arsenal in the 14th Premier League match at Old Trafford, Friday (12/3/2021) early morning WIB. Gunners a decade ago.

The duel between Manchester United and Arsenal in the match week 14 of the Premier League is believed to be very interesting. Manchester United, who has not been consistent this season, has a new manager, Ralf Rangnick, after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Even if in the end the German manager has not taken charge of the game, Michael Carrick, who has been tasked with guiding the Red Devils in two games after Solskjaer's departure, has been able to make the Red Devils play well, both in the Champions League and in the Premier League.

However, Manchester United must also be wary of Arsenal. Despite having lost badly to Liverpool, Arsenal, who had risen by winning 2-0 over Newcastle United in their last match, had gone 10 games unbeaten before finally traveling to Anfield.

So Mikel Arteta's team must be wary of by Manchester United. Especially if you look at the situation in the Premier League standings, Arsenal is now in fifth place with 23 points, five points ahead of Manchester United, who is in 10th place.

However, playing at Old Trafford can be a motivation for the Red Devils. Even Manchester United once had a beautiful memory with a landslide victory 8-2 over Arsenal in 2011. What was the match like then?

The party of Manchester United's victory over Arsenal in 2011 was truly extraordinary. Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young became the most shining players in the match which was the third week of the 2011/2012 Premier League.

Not only that, this season was Mikel Arteta's first season playing for Arsenal. The man who is now manager of the Gunners at that time had just moved from Everton and anchored at Arsenal.

However, Mikel Arteta was not included in Arsene Wenger's squad for the match at Old Trafford. The French manager did not include his name in the line-up list.

Manchester United immediately appeared kicked off in the first half. Danny Welbeck opened the scoring for Manchester United with a goal in the 22nd minute. Ashley Young doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute and Wayne Rooney made it 3-0 in the 42nd minute.

Just before the first half ended, Arsenal managed to create a goal back. Theo Walcott gave the Gunners the first goal and the first half ended with the score 3-1 in favor of the home team.

However, Manchester United went crazy in the second half. Even the Red Devils were able to score three goals in just six minutes.

Wayne Rooney created his second goal in the 64th minute utilizing feedback from Ashley Young. Three minutes later Rooney's turn to provide assists for goals scored by Nani. Then three minutes later, it was Park Ji-sung's turn to score after maximizing Ashley Young's pass.

In the remaining 20 minutes, Manchester United was ahead 6-1. Arsenal also managed to score another consolation goal through its flagship striker at the time, Robin van Persie in the 75th minute.

Entering the last minute of the match, Manchester United actually managed to add two goals, through Wayne Rooney's penalty in the 87th minute and Ashley Young's goal in injury time.
