Realme launched its 8 series in April, consisting of the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro. These smartphones are the successors to the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro, respectively, and feature good hardware along with AMOLED displays.

Realme 8 Pro design.

Realme has taken a new approach to design, and the Realme 8 Pro has a bold style. The company has placed the slogan "Dare to Leap" on the back of the smartphone. The text has a glossy surface that stands out against the fine textured surface on the back. Realme also chose bright colors for this smartphone: Infinite Blue and Illuminating Yellow. If you prefer something subtle, the Infinite Black option is the way to go.

The second highlight of the Realme 8 Pro is its cameras. It has a four-camera setup in the back, which acts as a two-stage design. The first plane houses the flash, and the second plane houses the four individual camera lenses.

The Realme 8 Pro is relatively thin and easy to use. The back of the smartphone curves around the sides, allowing you to hold the device comfortably.

On the front, the Realme 8 Pro is similar to its predecessor, the Realme 7 Pro. It still has a large 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a front-facing camera in the upper left corner. The Realme 8 Pro's bezel is made of plastic, and the power and volume buttons are located on the right side. These buttons are conveniently located and easily accessible with one hand. The SIM card tray is on the left side and all the ports are on the bottom.

Realme 8 Pro specifications and software

You get a 4,500 mAh battery, which is average for a smartphone these days. This has helped Realme reduce the 8 Pro's weight to 176g and 8.1mm thick. The battery is capable of 50W fast charging, and Realme included a 65W charger.

Realme didn't fumble with the specs, and it's virtually unchanged from the Realme 7 Pro. The Realme 8 Pro still has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a built-in fingerprint scanner. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, and the combination of RAM and storage remains the same: 6 or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The battery capacity is 4,500 mAh, but the charging speed is limited to 50W.

The Realme 8 Pro has a brighter display than the Realme 7 Pro, but this new model lacks stereo speakers and uses reinforced Asahi Dragontrail glass instead of Corning Gorilla Glass. You will also have to settle for Bluetooth 5.0 instead of Bluetooth 5.1. On the other hand, some of the improvements include a better main camera and Android 11 out of the box compared to Android 10, which offered the Realme 7 Pro.
