It had been close to three years since I had quit my job and began working on my start-up venture. After months of fine-tuning and calibrating my product, I approached some of the established software companies in India. They loved my product and soon became my clients. Recently, I even got substantial VC funding to expand my operations and team.

To celebrate the occasion, I decided to upgrade from my hatchback. I had heard about Renault Kiger’s features. Infact, since the time I first saw the car, its sporty look had caught my eye. But I decided to wait till the time I stabilize my ship.

Finally, after the VC funding inflow and much cajoling from my wife, I decided to gift myself a Kiger. I called for the test drive to my place.

They sent a dual-tone Kiger in my favorite colour, Radiant Red body with a black roof. I just stood there watching the car with a childish glee on my face. That is when my wife tapped on my shoulder and asked me to test drive the car!

I first decided to check Renault Kiger’s features on the outside; hence I took a walkabout of the car first. I noticed a host of things that I had earlier not paid attention to. The first thing to impress me was the tri-octa pure vision LED headlamps with LED DRLs and the C-shaped LED tail lamps. They added character to the car besides providing visibility.

Then I noticed that Kiger had a high ground clearance of 205 mm which meant that the car would glide easily over potholes and speed breakers. The front chrome grille and the skid plate gave it an additional advantage to an already aggressive SUV look! It was now the time to check out the interiors of Kiger.

As I got into the driver’s seat, I could not miss the commanding position and the view it offered of the outside world. The interiors were smartly and ergonomically designed to make sure that long-distance travel would not be a concern to any passenger.

I realized that the 17.78 cm reconfigurable TFT cluster and the steering mounted controls would make every drive effortless alongside the 20.32 cm central touchscreen display. Since I had asked for a Renault Kiger AMT, I wanted to check out how the transmission and drive mode controls were placed. I was happy with the multi-sense drive mode dial and the transmission gear knob being neatly placed.

Next, it was my wife’s turn to check out Renault Kiger features. While she too was impressed with the spacious interiors of the Kiger, she was particularly happy about two things.

First, she liked the 222 mm of rear legroom space and next she liked the huge storage space in the car. Kiger offered 29L of cabin storage space to keep all your travel essentials besides the 405L of boot space which could be extended to 879L if the rear seats are folded! This meant that she could now carry her world around without thinking about finding the space to keep it!

When I took the test drive of Renault Kiger AMT, I was particularly impressed by the HR10 petrol engine and the fuel efficiency of 20.53 KMPL. But what really sealed the deal was the Global NCAP safety rating of Kiger. With a 4-star rating, the car was easily one of the safest of all the SUVs around today!

I even realized that with a starting price of just Rs. 5.99 lakh* (ex. showroom Delhi) the most important Renault Kiger feature was the overall value it offered to the buyer. With maintenance as low as 40 paisa/km*, the car offered better value even after you buy it!

Both my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with Renault Kiger features after that test drive. Today, after driving it for almost 10 000 kms, I must say that our Renault Kiger features still impress us!
