When it comes to social media in 2022, being active with your audience is of great importance. In addition to great content and connections, there are quite a few things you can do to maintain a great media presence on your platforms.

You may want to start with great quality content for your viewers. Staying up to date by reading articles and watching plenty of videos related to your content is a great first step. Be sure to plan your content and establish metrics for tracking data and seeing where your audience’s interest currently lies. A social media marketer with no ideas as to what is going in surrounding niches is severely limiting their platform and connections.



Be sure that your content is providing real value. Establish a budget. Starting a Calendar and creating timely posts will attract your audience towards your content more. Being sure to keep up with metrics and results at this stage is pretty crucial as a bored audience will definitely show in the results.



When it comes to your social media channel, be sure to check the competition. Consider various approaches for your content to better entertain your audience. And, be sure to promote your social channels, especially those that overlap with common interests.



Lastly, be sure to get to know your audience. Building a community for your audience is a great way to get to know and understand what they need and requires more. Building networks and scouting from forum boards are also great ways of building your audience. One great piece of advice would be hosting your own discussion boards, using applications such as Slack and Discord could be great starters for keeping up with your audience and giving them a meeting ground to discuss the latest posts from your platform and competitors. Working with other influencers and brand advocates around this time would be a great way to draw more attention to your social media platform, giving you more knowledge and leverage over your competitors.

These are all great strategies for starting and building an active community around your social media platforms. Without them, it will be hard to keep up with competition starting, and competition that is already well established. And, if you are truly starting from the beginning stages, it may be helpful to join discussion boards provided by your competitors to see where they currently are in their campaigns. You may be able to gather crucial insight, as long as you try not to directly disturb and grab members from their platforms.
