Proper identification of a feline is important because, without it, there is a chance she will not be able to make it home if she secretly gets out of the house. While a collar and ID tag is the most common form of identification, microchips are becoming the new and popular norm.

A litter box with good-quality litter is necessary to ensure that a feline has a safe place to relieve herself inside or outside the house. If there is more than one feline, each feline should be provided with an individual litter box.

3. Food and Water

While planning for the arrival of a feline, food and water need to be made sure. It’s also important to decide what type of food to feed the feline. Find out what the feline is currently eating so that the transition to a personally preferred cat food can be started gradually.
