Stainless Steel Hex Bolts

A hex bolt is a fastener with a six-sided forged head and a machine thread that is used in connection with a nut to generate the nut and bolt combination which is used to hold a joint on both sides of a body. This works in a similar way to a screw with a thread, except it rotates on its own axis to penetrate and secure the surface of Nuts. Cap screws and equipment bolts are other names for hex bolts. They normally range in diameter from 1/2" to 12". They can be up to 30" long. The thread length changes according to the length of the bolts. Thread length of hex bolts that are 10" or longer is approximately 6". Dimensional limitations are good with powerful hex bolts and structural bolts. A few more non-standard sizes can also be customised to meet the needs of varied applications. Stainless Steel Hex Bolts have a wide range of applications as fasteners in wood, steel, and other materials. They are widely used in the construction of bridges, docks, highways, and buildings as headed anchor bolts.Hex bolts are classified into three categories Half-threaded hex bolts, full-threaded tap bolts, and metric hex bolts are all available.

Half Threaded Hex Bolt:

Threading flows down half of the body, with a six-sided head at the other end. Stainless steel, zinc plated steel, plain finish steel, chrome plated steel, and hot dipped galvanised steel are some of the materials utilised for different types of half threaded hex bolts. Stainless steel bolts are widely used in nearly all hardware applications. Corrosion resistant grade steels and hot dipped galvanised steels are both expensive and employed in salt water and chlorinated environments. Zinc plated steel has a high strength and is commonly used in automobile components. Chrome plated steel is used in auto parts to provide a smooth mirror surface.

Full Threaded Hex Bolt:

Threading extends the length of the body, with a six-sided head on the other end. Tap bolts are made from stainless steel of various grades, zinc-plated steel, and silicon bronze. In most hardware applications, A4-80 stainless steel hex bolts are employed. Zinc has strong corrosion resistance, and Silicon Bronze is a copper alloy with high durability strength and corrosion resistance.

Metric Hex Bolt:

They have a hexagonal head with either half or full threading. Hex bolts made of stainless steel, zinc, or chrome plating are utilised in a various of applications. JIS hex bolts and JIS tap bolts are two types of JIS bolts. The only difference is that the head is slightly smaller than a conventional metric hex bolt. The size of the head varies in a few diameters. They are metric hex bolts that are zinc plated class 8.8 steel graded and give strength and corrosion resistance.
