Studying environment and knowing about its components

Environment consists in all the biotic and abiotic components that are present around us, that is in our surroundings. Humans have a lot to contribute to the environment, that is both positively as well as negatively. The space we reside in, the air we breathe, the food we eat are all the outcomes of our surroundings. However, with the growing population, we have come to destroy the beautiful planet we live In. Therefore, in the modern times, an elevation of the idea of modernization and urbanization is occurring, which has led to the depletion in the quality of environment around us.

Environmental science is a field that deals with the study of the interaction between human systems and natural systems. Natural systems involve the earth itself and life. Human systems are primarily the populations of the earth.
Difference between environmental science and environmental engineering

Environmental science as taught in the classes of B.Sc. college in Jaipur is the study of social sciences to understand human interactions with the environment.

Environmental engineering is the focus on analysing and deducing problems with the environment and the effect of man-made programs on the environment, and for finding solutions to help protect and preserve the environment by disposing of pollution in the air, water, and land.

Components of environmental science:

Ecology: It is the study of organisms and the environments interacting with one another. In B.Sc. college in Jaipur, professors teach that ecologists are involved in the process of finding the relations between the status of the environment and the population of the particular species within the environment.

Geoscience: In Geoscience, you can study geology, soil science, volcanoes, and the earth’s crust as they relate to the environment. As an example, scientists may study the erosion of the earth’s surface in a particular area. Soil scientists, physicists, biologists, and geomorphologists would all take part in the study. Geomorphologists have to study the movement of solid particles, biologists study the impacts of the study to the plants and animals of the immediate environment, physicists have to study the light transmission changes in the water causing the erosion, and the soil scientists would make the last calculations on the flow of the water when it infiltrates the soil to full capacity causing the erosion at the first place.

Environmental Chemistry: It is the study of the changes chemicals make in the environment, such as contamination of the soil, pollution of the water, degradation of chemicals, and the transport of chemicals upon the plants and animals of the immediate environment. An example of environmental chemistry can be an introduction of a chemical object into an environment, in which chemists have to study the chemical bonding to the soil or sand of the environment.
Atmospheric science: It is the study of the earth’s atmosphere. It analyses the relation of the earth’s atmosphere to the atmospheres of other systems. This encompasses a wide variety of scientific studies relating to space, astrology, and the earth’s atmosphere: meteorology, pollution, gas emissions, and airborne contaminants.

After studying about environment fromB.Sc. college in Jaipur, you get the chance to be an environmental engineer, scientist, geologist, biotechnologist etc. These all require knowledge about the environment comprehensively and help you sail through the course, with good academic scores.
