Little Haiti is revitalizing nearly 18 acres of vacant and industrial land in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood to create a walkable urban campus that will soon become a top location for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, art and culture, while preserving the community's authentic cultural identity.

Little Haiti (MCID), an urban community master-planned is committed to sustainability and technology as also to arts and culture. The community covers around 18 acres within Little Haiti, just north of Wynwood and the Design District, adjacent to the MiMo district in Miami, Florida. The Magic City Miami is a walking, campus-like neighborhood where individuals from diverse backgrounds can enjoy a quality life and help write the next chapter of history on the way we are living, working, playing, and learn together.

MCID is dedicated to bringing to fruition a new initiative that will create an economic engine that is self-sustaining in one of the most dynamic regions of Miami. It will be comprised of responsible companies as well as entrepreneurs, innovators, and educators. The three stages of MCID development include: First, the assemblage, entitlement and rehabilitating the existing buildings. The second phase is the activation of the neighborhood through lease-up of newly renovated buildings as well as activation MCID Park (current stage). Third, development of new buildings in accordance with the latest approved master plan.

MCID has renovated warehouses, factories and other buildings to create distinctive spaces for offices, galleries and cafes. The team behind the project has created the magic city innovation district, a charitable fund within the Miami Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to help support the social, economic and cultural prosperity of Little Haiti and the diverse people who live and work there.

The MCID team has worked closely with the local community for many years to gain a deep understanding of the values and requirements of everyone who will benefit from the comprehensive project. MCID will give the community significant benefits, such as a landmark contribution package that could amount to $31 million of payments into the Little Haiti Revitalization Trust a trust that will be established by the City of Miami to coordinate and assist in the revitalization of communities in Little Haiti. The trust's primary goals include affordable homeownership and housing, and community education programs as well as small-business development. local workforce participation, recruitment programs, beautification of the community, and the development and improvement of public parks. The Little Haiti Revitalization Trust Fund is also being controlled and managed by the community.

MCID recognizes the importance of mobility for a city like Miami and is committed to improving neighborhood connectivity through improved roads, investing in the infrastructure for pedestrians and bicycles and spaces for civic and public use. The development of a 2.18-acre pedestrian promenade, the Promenade du Grand Bois, and approximately 3.8 acres of civic space are all part of the plan.
