The Different Types of Coffee Beans and Their Characteristics

Arabica, Robusta, Excelsa, and Liberica are the four primary coffee varieties, and each of them has a distinctive flavour profile that differs significantly from the others.
Arabica
Arabica coffee beans, widely regarded as one of the most popular and well-known coffee beans, are the most widely produced kind and are often believed to be superior quality. According to some estimates, arabica coffee beans account for more than 60% of all coffee beans produced worldwide.
Since these beans are cultivated at high elevations, they must be planted in an area with consistent rainfall and lots of shade.
Perhaps one of the reasons this is a coffee bean type grown worldwide that the trees are easy to care for, they are relatively tiny, and they are also simple to prune. However, they are fragile and can be impacted by their surroundings. Robusta
The next variety of coffee beans is Robusta, the second most widely grown globally after Arabica.
Because of its hardiness and resistance to various illnesses, the Robusta bean is also known as the "hardy bean."

Liberica

A distinguishing characteristic of Liberica beans is their scent, which some people describe as being smokey, fruity, and flowery.
Excelsa
Although it has lately been categorized as a member of the Liberica family, the Excelsa bean has a drastically different flavour from that of the Liberica bean.
