I wish I didn’t know you, but I do.
Referring to whom you once were and who you have become.
For you to have morphed into an enigma, a quandary, I find more
than puzzling, has left me somewhat at a loss as I attempt
to categorize and catalog you,
after you have been who you
once were.


Although, you do remind me of someone I once knew… Have we
met in another lifetime, perhaps, realizing there are other parallel
universes
and dimensions we may not be aware of; if such does exist.
Which I truly doubt.


But, regardless, as, at first, mentioned. You do remind me of
someone I once knew. The coloring of your eyes.
The way they capture starlight,
which
seemingly dances within
them.


It is something I do remember. I am left at such a loss. Is it your
perfumed scent? It does smell vaguely familiar…
Lilac and rose.


Such an allurement. You always wore it. Oft-times sprit zings it on
your wrists. Awe… Heavenly sent.
That is what I imagined you as being. If you were once her. And
so much do I hope you were her reincarnate, perhaps what
little remained of her.


Is she a part of you, and you, a part of her?
I am rambling, hoping, praying it was all true, but I know I am
only fooling myself…


A look of loneliness in your eyes reveals a longing to be filled.
A touch of tenderness, perhaps the sweet caress of a kiss, would
this suffice? Or would you be wanting more?
Companionship? A conversation between two lovers. A cup of
coffee and someone with whom you long to pour your heart
out to.


Your lips tremble. The longing within your eyes. Arms extended,
hands reaching, and you, wanting nothing more than a hug…
Easily done…..Coffee and a Danish at Starbucks?
