Riot Games today announced the new League of Legends champion Gwen: The Hollow Seamstress. The news of the unveiling of the champion Viego was the first time Riot Games had hinted at the new champion. Gwen makes use of gigantic scissors as well as other harrowing capabilities in Summoners Rift to defeat enemy champions. Gwen's backstory

According to Gwen's reveal trailer and previous lore, Isolde, the wife of Viego was the creator of a doll. Isolde was later killed by the pinioned knife that was supposed to be used for Viego. League of Legends has confirmed that the hero will be revealed during the update 11.7 as it is released. Gwen is a melee-type character who wields large scissors as her weapon. She has a total of five abilities, including four active abilities and a passive one. Passive - Thousand Cuts

Gwen's basic attacks cause bonus on-hit magic damage depending on a percentage of her health. Basic attacks against champions will heal her for some of the damage they cause.

Snip-Snip

Gwen rapidly cuts her scissors between two and six times, inflicting magical damage inside cone. At at a minimum Gwen will cut twice, adding one snip for every basic attack Gwen has hit an opponent (up to four for six total). Hallowed Mist

Gwen spins around the Hallowed Mist, which surrounds her for 5 minutes, and gains some armor and magical resistance while inside it. Gwen is not able to be attacked or injured by anyone outside of the Mist. Gwen is followed by the mist first time she attempts to leave, but will disappear the second time.

Skin N Slash

Gwen sprints for a short distance, and then bolsters her attacks with greater range, speed and damage on hit for a period of four seconds. This ability is 50% off when you attack an enemy within the timeframe of.

Needlework

Gwen is able to use Needlework at least three times, but she has to strike an opponent within 8 seconds in order to allow each cast to be unlocked. Each cast will fire needles in an area that deals damage, slow enemies, and apply Gwen's Thousand Cuts bonus magic damage. The first cast fires one needle, the next will fire three, and the final one will fire fiveneedles, for a total of nine needles and nine rounds of Thousand Cuts to the enemies that are hit.
