The door which is made out of glass panels for most of its length with a wooden or any other materials frame is called a French door. A French door is a very light structure or door compared to other types of doors.
In the 16th and 17th centuries, the French doors were first introduced in France which is why it is called the French door. Also in some places, French doors are called French windows because of their shape.

The French doors are operated through a Hinges support and it opens in the outward direction of the room. And with the advanced system, these doors are very safe and durable.
These doors have multiple panels of glass, and because of the proportion of that panel and the symmetricity of the panel door get a very decent look.
