WHAT ACTUALLY MAKES A WATER BOTTLE ECO FRIENDLY?

With all the pollution and waste we produce, humans don't do the earth any favors. Many of us are recognizing the need for a positive change in our lifestyle to help reduce this damaging impact on our home planet.

We can protect the ecosystem by being more aware of the products we use and the containers we keep them in.

The dreaded plastic bottle is one of the products we buy that indirectly creates a lot of pollution and waste due to the containers it comes in.

The little things wreak so much havoc on our environment that those who care about the future of our planet are boycotting them and buying eco friendly water bottles instead.

Reusable water bottles come in three different materials: plastic, glass, and steel. Which is the best?

Plastic water bottles might seem convenient, but are they really eco-friendly? You can take them everywhere very easily. They usually have a screw-on lid with a flip-top or pull-top.

That said, plastic reusable bottles still contain many harmful chemicals and can impart a plastic taste to your water. In addition, they are made from non-renewable resources, so they can't be recycled, and they end up in landfills, where they take longer to decompose than disposable bottles. Reusable water bottles defeat their purpose.

While glass bottles are eco-friendlier than plastic bottles, they are not without their downsides. You can enjoy a pure taste of water when you drink from a glass water bottle. They contain no harmful chemicals and pose no health risks.

A responsible water bottle supplier suggests that stainless steel water bottles are the best option if you truly want to purchase an eco-friendly water bottle. No harmful chemicals are contained in steel water bottles, and they are generally well insulated, so your drinks stay cold or hot for hours. Steel bottles are corrosion resistant and sterile, so the chances of you ingesting mold or bacteria are extremely slim… Just make sure you choose a stainless steel bottle that does not contain aluminum.
