New projects are being designed to develop the African region.

Input Output Global (IOG) who developed Cardano, has recently signed with Ethiopian incubator iceaddis in order to support local creatives and entrepreneurs. In the context of Project Catalyst, the largest decentralized innovation fund in the world, the two partners created the Ariob incubator.

This partnership will assist in the acceleration of growth in projects that are funded through the Project Catalyst Foundation. The experience and resources of Venture Capital are available to startups to help them develop products that address real-world African problems. The community can choose the programs they wish to see, while the creators of the program will receive financial assistance to make their idea real.

Why Africa?

Africa is on the cusp of becoming a world hub for blockchain-related innovation. It is a vast continent with a wide array of needs for technology. Africa is free from the bonds to the old system. This makes it simpler for technological advancements to flourish and establish themselves. There is tremendous potential for modernization both in the business and the society via projects in finance, technology services, and development.

African countries offer huge potential to implement and spread cryptocurrency. This region currently accounts for just 2% of crypto transactions in the world However, the analysts of KuCoin, the KuCoin cryptocurrency exchange reported that the usage of cryptocurrencies in Africans in some countries increased by 2670% by 2022.

"The adoption of digital assets in Africa is increasing exponentially. African countries have the highest rate of adoption of cryptocurrency in the world. They are ahead of regions such as the USA as well as Europe.

The region has one of the top rates of mass adoptions of cryptocurrency. 3 countries: Kenya (Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania) are among the top 20 countries of the Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Index. They are ranked at 5 6, 16, and 19th , respectively.

Charles Hoskinson is the founder and CEO at IOG. He has said repeatedly that Africa can be able to achieve an "economic miracle" and catch up with bigger economies like China and the United States. intends to help support this kind of occasion on the African continent.

In this context, incubator programs are essential. Project Catalyst or Ariob offer projects in Africa not just financial tools but also educational and entrepreneurial resources that can help accelerate ecosystem growth.
