"Will money last until the end of the month?" Some suggestions to help you survive

January may be a difficult month. Many of us got paid early in December in time for Christmas, so the period between pay days might feel interminable. To check our the Men’s Clothing And Design, click here

In addition, indulgence over Christmas and New Year's likely means we didn't spend sensibly either. So, if you need some extra cash this month, consider the following suggestions:

Cut back - This is the easiest one, but even cutting back on outings, takeout, or movie tickets will help you get through the last few weeks of January. You may feel cheated, but this is one of the simplest ways to spread your money.

Borrow money from friends and family- Perhaps some friends or family members can assist you. If they do, make sure you have a documented agreement in place. It doesn't have to be anything fancy; simply state, 'I loaned you this much (X), and you will reimburse me (X) by (X).' More advice about borrowing money from friends can be found here.

Borrow money from the bank - perhaps you might extend your overdraft to get some cash faster to tide you over. Others may consider a personal loan, which is OK as long as 1) you genuinely need it, 2) it is for a practical purpose, and 3) you can afford it and are dedicated to making the payments.

Wonga South Africa refers to this as "good lending" because it is based on a financially savvy person who understands their thing and will not have difficulties repaying the loan. Consider why you need the loan and whether the reason is worthwhile.

For example, university costs may be an investment in your future; therefore, obtaining a loan may be prudent. Likewise, a new automobile may help you get to work, but a vacation may be unnecessary.

Inquire with your manager - Maybe you have a friendly boss or not. In any case, requesting a wage advance may be possible. Of course, you won't lose anything if they say no, but it's always worth asking!

Sell unwanted stuff - Selling unwanted items on auction sites is a terrific method to get some quick money. You may sell used CDs, DVDs, phones, tablets, and other items for fair rates online. If you don't use it anymore and it's just taking up space, this could be something to consider. Why not go through your belongings and see what you can part with? Listing fees on auction platforms are very modest, and starting with a low minimum bid can generate a lot of attention.
