Got it working - eventually.
Windows 7 64 bit. I ran setup as an administrator, it kept saying that it cannot verify the publisher, and asks permission to continue. Then it did iot again.. and again.
EVENTUALLY got there. DON'T GIVE UP!

Drivers are fine read bottom line.
read bottom line.
The bottom line is this. If the driver installation program itself is giving you problems then it would just be simpler and faster to do a manual install. Follow these steps if you are logged in with administrator rights.
Right click on computer and go into device manager. From there find the drop down tree for your sound controller. Expand the tree and right click on your sound device and select update driver. Select search my computer. Go into your drivers folder and find and select the appropriate folder I.E. "select Vista for Vista and 7 32 bit or select Vista64 if you have a 64bit version of either operation system. If you want to see if your operating system is 64 bit or not go into system properties and view it. Which can be seen by right clicking on computer and selecting properties. Your summary should come up along with some other things.
Not being lazy and letting a simple application who's only job is to copy the drivers and give you the stupid looking realtek gui, which frankly I prefer to go without. Hope this gave you all some insight.

Sound works. It's truly amazing!
Duhm. You have to allow the driver to access your computer EXACTLY 20 times.
You have to allow the driver to access your computer EXACTLY 20 times, each warning 20 seconds away. People think this is an endless loop, but in reality, it's just a VERY LONG loop. Download this driver if you have the patience to wait 3 1/2 minutes for a driver to go through a begin phase.

I don't like ham.
It just takes like 40 times of clicking it, and is horribly annoying, but it does get through eventually. Good luck folks.

It downloaded great, in a short amount of time, and it got my audio going on my windows 7.
After you download. You do after find the file to open and install it.
Bottom of the line is it gets your audio going without charging you money.

None. It won't install.
Starts to install, then Win7 says it can't verify the publisher, I click install anyway and a few seconds later the same message comes back that it can't verify the publisher. Clicked on this maybe 50 times. Same result.
Don't know if it is a problem with the installer software or Win7. But somebody needs to read these reviews and get their act together either at Microsoft or Realtek.

The file that gets downloaded for this driver is a ZIP file. Try unzipping the file before clicking on the setup application. You won't see the "Run as Administrator" option on a Right Click unless you have already unzipped the files.

Save file to desktop, then right-click and Run as Administrator.
