The tense gameplay of Wasteland 3 is inspired by “Fallout” and “XCOM.” Players who prefer to play survival games, Wasteland 3 is a top-notch choice for them. Wasteland 3 introduced several cool features that they never had before. After launching new features and improved gameplay, Wasteland earned numerous positive feedbacks. Now that multiplayer is available, the teams are becoming heavy hitters. There are plenty of combat moves available in Wasteland 3 that seem more like the XCOM series. Usually, when players are not traveling in their armored vehicles, they prefer to do crouch to get better coverage. It helps them to eliminate the enemies quickly while being in a safe zone.

Attributes and skills are a significant part of Wasteland 3. While moving on to a higher level, it becomes necessary for players to upgrade their stats and skills. Some specific builds are helpful at higher levels because they improve the defensive and offensive stats. Along with the skills and stats, some specific builds are essential in the game.

Starting Options

Players can create a squad by choosing a character from several available characters, and every one of them has their personality and backstory. However, for some players, it’s slightly tricky which squad would be perfect for them. Choosing the Tech Heads can be the biggest fuss because they mostly rely on rare science gears and have low combat stats.

“Punk Lovers” and “Young Rangers” also have similar gameplay. Their attacks deal damage to the close-to-mid range. The Father and the Daughter squad is among the best squad players can choose. Both characters from the squad own specific skills. One deal through close-range attacks and second damage through long-range attacks like a sniper. It’s a good start with these two characters, but in terms of building a rounded team, they are not much useful.

Healer

Indeed, the healer is a significant part of every team. For a healer, the charisma attribute is the first, and speed is the second most essential section. In terms of quirks, “Poindexter” is useful for XP. To provide backup, it is crucial to have First Aid ability. It will heal their teammates to make sure they survive longer. Remember to have excellent Charisma stat in the healer.

Sniper

Sniper is always helpful for any type of team. Because of its long-range, it can mark the enemy from a distance, without letting the opponent know about it. It’s perfect accuracy, and critical damage is strictly important for the team. Sniper is already a strong niche, but the “Death Wish” quirk can make the fire impact extremely powerful.

Melee

Just like every other build, Melee is also essential in Wasteland 3. If a Melee fighter has excellent strength, correct coordination, and speed, it can start hitting the enemies faster than any other character. Melee characters usually work in the concert along with animals like Major Tomcat. So based on this, “Animal Whisper” can be a great skill for the following personality of characters.

Flamethrower/Assault Rifle

Flamethrower and Assault Rifle both builds are quite similar. However, the Assault Rifle has better ammo capacity, and Flamethrowers are quite powerful. Both of these weapons have “Big Gun” skills, but the Flamethrower tends to rely on strength a lot. The Toaster Repair skill of Flamethrower is a highly preferred skill for the build. However, players can also use the “Pyromaniac” quirk with Toasty perk to roast the enemies in no time.

Conclusion

According to the character’s personality, their skills are somehow related to it. The players must explore the nature of the character and use those skills that represent them. Having great stats also increases the damage value of the skills.
