How the Renault TRIBER broke some age-old myths for me?

It was quite easy for my family to fit into my old sedan when my son was young. But now after he recently got married, I suddenly felt that my sedan has got smaller and we need a bigger car. We are three generations, my parents, my son and daughter-in-law, my wife and I, all staying in the same house. We own a small manufacturing unit that my father had started some years ago. Through the years, business grew and he finally retired from active day-to-day management of the unit. Now he along with my son frequently visits the unit, he visits to relieve his fond memories and my son visits to learn the tricks of the trade!
While I was contemplating to upgrade my car from sedan to a 7-seater, my son recommended that we try the new Renault TRIBER. To be honest, I have never taken a test drive of any vehicle before. My sedan was bought in a single visit that too to the first showroom near our home.
But this time was different. My son and daughter-in-law insisted that we test drive the Renault TRIBER first. So I did. We booked a test drive online and the car arrived at the designated time at our doorstep.
At first, the Renault TRIBER looked like a normal 5-seater. I whispered to my son “This looks like a sub 4-meter car. We are looking for a 7-seater and not a 5-seater.” He did not speak a word but had a twinkle in his eyes when he opened the car door. To my surprise the car was a 7-seater!
On the outside, the car had a strong muscular look. It had sharp looking projector headlamps with LED DRLs and split tail lamps which make it look quite stylish. The car even had SUV styled skid plates and roof rails with load carrying capacity. The outside of the car sure looked mesmerising to me. But I was interested more in the space inside.
Then he asked me to take the driver’s seat while he sat behind. I was impressed by the dashboard. The dashboard was a dual tone one with silver accents. It even had a cooled glove box. The 20.32 cm touchscreen was amazing and far easy to operate.
Seeing that though I was impressed with the dashboard, but still had the “where is the 7-seater” question in my mind, my son asked me to watch him do a small trick. Within seconds, he converted the 5-seater into 7-seater. I couldn’t believe my eyes so I stepped out and did it myself. The car had removable last row! This was totally insane! I had never seen something like this in my life.
He then asked me to sit in the last seat with him seating in the middle row just ahead of me. Fearing that I may not fit in, I reluctantly stepped in. But to my surprise, I could easily fit in the last row. My son then told me that Renault TRIBER was indeed the first car not only in India but the whole world with this revolutionary concept of removable seats.
We then went for a small test-drive and I must confess that the car was super smooth to drive. By the time we came back, I had made up my mind that the Renault TRIBER would be our next car.
But I was wrong. My son and daughter-in-law had already book one and this test-drive was just a formality to introduce the car. The actual car was waiting for us in our parking lot when we came back.
This is how I received my best birthday gift ever till date!
