ISO 45001 is an ISO standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) board frameworks, published in March 2018. The aim of ISO 45001 Certification is to reduce occupational wounds and diseases.

ISO 45001 versus OHSAS 18001 is the primary comparison. The newly distributed standard that supplants OHSAS 18001 is ISO 45001. Since all OHSAS 18001 accredited organizations currently need to advance to ISO 45001 within a multi-year time span, there is a lot of debate on the distinction between ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001. As the International Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Schemes, ISO 45001:2018 has superseded OHSAS 18001:2007.
