How to Lose 10 Pounds in a Week with Okinawa Flat Belly Tonic

Unless you’re a super obese individual who happens to be living at The Biggest Loser ranch, losing ten pounds each week is quite unrealistic. However, there are some tricks you can lose to drop a lot of water weight in a 7 day period, and appear much trimmer for the effort. If you remember from elementary school, the human body is nearly 60% water (for men, 55% for women). Babies are actually made up of an astounding 78% water.
What this means is that there are steps you can take to safely reduce the amount of water (and intestinal contents) your body is carrying to reduce your body weight rather quickly. It’s important to note that these changes will not be permanent, and when you start eating and drinking normally again, the weight will come back.
As many of you have probably noticed, eating some foods will cause bloating in the body, leading to excessive water weight being carried. Foods high in carbohydrates, especially simple sugars, and salty foods will cause this effect. It can also be caused by being under-hydrated, as the body will attempt to hold on to water.
There are a few steps involved in cutting down your water weight and clearing out the intestines, but the process basically involves doing the opposite of what you would do to get bloated (as if you’d ever do it on purpose).
Reducing Carbohydrates
Significantly reducing carbohydrates is the first step in the process. Not only do carbohydrates cause bloating, but they also result in extra glycogen storage in the muscles. Glycogen is the stored form of glucose that the muscles use for energy when they contract against external force. Reducing carbohydrates to less than 50 grams per day will reduce both water and glycogen in the body.
Reducing Salt Intake
Salt should also be heavily reduced during this time. A sprinkle of sea salt here and there is okay, but nothing overtly salty like potato chips or bacon should be consumed.
Increase Water Intake
Water is the best natural diuretic, and should be consumed heavily during the first 6 days of the week. This will get your body in the habit of quickly purging water from the system, which we’ll take advantage of on day 7.
Psyllium Husk
Psyllium husk is high in fiber, and has a strong cleansing effect on the intestines and stomach. Use small amounts at first to avoid gastrointestinal distress.
The Plan
For the first 6 days of the week, follow the above listed steps to the letter. To get the absolute maximum effect from the program, we are going to reduce water intake on day 7 to only a few ounces here and there throughout the day. As the body will be used to purging the large amounts of water you’ve been consuming all week, it will keep doing so, and pull any excess water out of the body.
This will result is a temporary but noticeable change in body weight by the end of the day. The total weight loss will vary from person to person, but will generally be between 5 and 15 pounds, depending on total body weight and other factors.
