Where did I say classic has been the savior of this MMO gaming. There is a stark difference in how classic keeps you enjoying vs retailstores. It's difficult to go from the Legion circlejerk but legendarys, AP, and titanforging would be the worst thing to ever occur to WoW. They have been met with massive positive comments on 3 of the oddest methods ever put in the game. I was a raid logger and Legion completely snuffed out the whole way I played the match.

That is among the greatest reasons I dropped Destiny 2, that and the absurd cost of the expansions and also the season passes that had hardly any value in their reward tiers, just zero to anticipate and get excited about. Seeing QOL updates being touted as selling points was that the last nail, though. Manipulative and sleezy and idle, absolutely fucking idle and that I have zero qualms stating that.

It stings a bit, but the name of the main post also made me immediately think of Bungie, with Destiny two. Them committing to thing sunsetting for as long as they did... especially with the arrogance, stating that it is the right thing to do, despite all of the legitimate criticism about it. They didn't care about all the player time spent grinding to get their desired rolls, watching their items power-capped, then having to re-grind the specific same weapon and rolls, just with a new power cap. They didn't actually make the new drops distinct in any meaningful manner like sunsetting was supposed to perform.

It was an engineered waste of time. Like the title, you can argue they were totally incompetent, they wanted the boosted player time, or heck, maybe it is not black and white - they were fine understanding that their incompetence rewarded them, so they dragged their feet on addressing it until much more than a year later.

Wow has had 20 years of development effort and experience thrown at it. Besides shitty decisions and systems... It works, the game functions and has a complete world constructed already. That is a lot more than buy WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold we can say about a lot of mmos already. For the most part there are no game busting issues which stop a large section of the player base from playing.
