The latest Marvel film, "Black Widow" managed to steal the box office crown during the pandemic. This film managed to earn revenues of US $ 80 million or equivalent to Rp. 1.16 trillion (at an exchange rate of Rp. 14,500/US dollar) at the US domestic box office during its debut.
This revenue is the most of all films released after the Covid pandemic. Launching from CNBC, Monday (12/7/2021), apart from selling cinema tickets, the Black Widow film also managed to reap huge revenues through streaming service applications.

Walt Disney also revealed that they raised more than $60 million globally from selling the film through Disney+ Premier Access. This is the first time the company has shared information about movie sales it has obtained from a streaming service.
"This is an unprecedented way to report a weekend business opening for a film, but Disney deserves credit for detailing what the box office actually brings in and what streaming makes," said Shawn Robbins, chief analyst at Boxoffice. com.
It didn't stop there, Black Widow also managed to collect revenue of US$78 million or around Rp. 1.13 trillion from international ticket sales.

"The brand equity that Marvel brings to the table is almost unparalleled and reflected in the historic box offices generated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe films," said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Comscore.
"Therefore, it should come as no surprise that 'Black Widow' had the biggest debut and the biggest debut during the pandemic."
