As announced recently, Sega's MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is gearing up to introduce the new “Bouncer” character class later this month. However, this won't be the only new feature of the title for the current month of Halloween and the end of the year, as revealed by a new video highlighting several upcoming additions.

Bringing two new types of weapons with them — Soaring Blades swords and rocket boots — Bouncers will specialize in close-range physical combat. Even so, the class, which will arrive on October 13th, will also offer some medium-range attacks, added to the player's options in battles.

Additionally, celebrating Halloween, a special event will be held between October 27th and November 24th, leaving the game world decked out for the occasion. Through new quests and seasonal enemy fights, players will be able to receive a variety of rewards suitable for Halloween, including stamps, firearms, and other unique items.

Finally, December will see the addition of a new major region to the game. Named “Retain,” the area will allow players to venture into a desert landscape filled with new enemies and items waiting to be discovered.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available in Western regions for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store). PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions also exist, but they are only accessible in Japan.
