Film Critics Split On Jungle Cruise's Judgment

A number of film critics gave a different assessment for the film Jungle Cruise. Thirty of the 57 critics compiled by Rotten Tomatoes praised the film, while 27 others criticized the film.
One positive assessment or praise comes from Brian Lowry as a film critic from CNN. He considered Jungle Cruise which was adapted from Disneyland was worked out to the maximum.

"Through the lens, Jungle Cruise conveys (story) to the fullest, creating lighthearted adventures inspired by The Mummy as well as Disney's fleet," said Lowry's review.
Ed Potton as a film critic from the Times also gave praise. He liked the performances of actors Dwayne Johnson as Frank Wolffalias Francisco Lopez de Heredia and Emily Blunt as Dr. Lily Houghton is the center of the story.

"Johnson and Blunt... make an unexpected big screen couple that turns out to be the most exciting of the year," said Potton's review.

Meanwhile, one of the scathing praises was delivered by Peter Bradshaw as a film critic from the Guardian. In contrast to Lowry, he even felt that the direction of Jungle Cruise's story was unclear.
"This film is turning into something that is not clear where it leads and is boring," said Bradshaw's review.

Then David Rooney as a critic from the Hollywood Reporter compared Jungle Cruise to the film adaptation of other rides. Jungle Cruise is not a good film although it is not as bad as other rides adaptations.

"Compared to efforts to turn amusement park rides into a new revenue stream, this film is not as dead as The Haunted Mansion or Tomorrowland. But that's not to say it's good," wrote Rooney.

Jungle Cruise tells of the adventures of Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) in search of a legendary tree in the Amazon wilderness. He is assisted by a ship captain named Frank (Dwayne Johnson) who usually brings tourists.

Frank says the tree doesn't exist, while Lily believes the legendary tree does exist. According to him, many people did not succeed in finding them because they did not have the keys, while he had them.

Their adventure becomes difficult when there is a party that turns out to be lurking along the way. They do reconnaissance using submarines so that they are not seen.
