No matter how costly your smartphone is, every phone may encounter issues. In the case of Pixel 6 and Pixel, 6 Pro the users have found bugs and unexpected issues more than any other phone. More unexpected bugs and issues have led to more Pixel 6 criticism. Google keeps addressing the bugs and errors in the Pixel 6 phones through updates like December Security and feature updates. Google tries to fix most of the problems/issues arising with its flagship Pixel 6 phone. However, some bugs may be an issue throughout the lifespan.

Here is everything you need to know about Pixel 6 problems, and they can be resolved or not.

THE FIRST ISSUE: THE MAJOR ISSUES FOUND IN GOOGLE PIXEL 6
Most Google Pixel 6 owners have noticed that its fingerprint scanner takes too long to recognize a fingerprint compared to other phones. Google has claimed its ‘enhanced security,’ saying its fingerprint sensor takes longer to verify or too many attempts to recognize a fingerprint than other phones. On the other hand, others have blamed Google for using an optical fingerprint sensor instead of an ultrasonic sensor.

Google has come out with November and December updates fixing fingerprint scanner issues. The first helps improve the performance of your device’s fingerprint scanner, and the second has general improvements for fingerprint sensor stability and performance.

Other tech analysts have provided tips to fix these issues, apart from Google’s official updates. The first tip, Google Pixel 6 owners need to reinstall a screen protector that doesn’t interfere with the in-screen scanner. Second, all Pixel 6 owners should register their fingerprint twice as the Pixel 6 phone allows you to store up to five prints. That’s why a fingerprint scanner takes more time to recognize your prints.

THE SECOND ISSUE: PHANTOM CALLING
Many users noticed that their Pixel 6 phone was dialing specific contacts, even when the phone was not in their pockets. From the updates, it is found that this issue is arising due to Google Assistant misinterpreting random words from people or audio playback. To fix this phantom calling issue, you should download the latest google app update from the Play Store for a hot-fix. Also, Google has provided the December 2021 security updates to fix the issue that unintentionally causes Assistant to start a phone call.

THIRD ISSUE: SCREEN FLICKERING/ GREEN TINT
Many Pixel 6 & 6Pro users noticed screen flickering when power cycling the phone. Screen flickering during brightness adjustments, when locking and unlocking the phone, and the users had also noticed white screen flash when the display turned off.

Some of the users are also complaining of a screen green tint. However, this issue is common with Google, Samsung, and OnePlus phones.

FOURTH ISSUE: SLOW CHARGING
Slow charging is not to be counted in bugs, but it is a frustrating issue for many users. As per Google Pixel 6 phone’s specs, it supports a 30W charger, but practically both Pixel 6 & 6 Pro supports 22W charging. The phone takes only 30 minutes to charge up to 50%, and it takes almost one hour to charge the remaining 50%.
