Lotepred Eye Drop is a member of the class of medications known as steroids. It is used to treat redness and edema of the eyes caused by infection or an allergic reaction. It alleviates redness, itching, and pain by reducing the release of inflammatory molecules in the body. Never use Lotepred Eye Drop if the seal has been broken before the first time you use it. Before using, wash your hands. Remove contact lenses if you wear them and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. It would help if you did not stop taking the medication unless your doctor instructed you to do so. Terminating the medicine prematurely may allow the germs to continue growing, resulting in a recurrence of the infection. Individuals may be allergic to eye drops, especially if they contain a preservative. If you develop a rash around your eyes, swelling, or itching, discontinue the use of the drops and consult a physician. Prolonged usage of preserved eye drops may cause eye discomfort and dry eye symptoms.
