As far as I know that it is better before selling the metal to clean it as buyers give more money for it,more information on the cleaning and how much it will cost you I can not give, because I am not experienced in it, surrendering metal a couple of times but did not clean it because I was too lazy to do it. I think it is worthwhile to surrender not necessary metal for recycling is much better than throwing it away and pollute the streets.

I've never handed over metal, I don't know how to do it properly.

Yes, they do give more money for cleaned metal, but I don't have time for that, so I turn it in without cleaning.
