Apple to launch an iPad Pro supported with M2 Chip

Apple is set to launch an iPad Pro featuring the new M2 chip in the fall between September to November 2022, reported by Mark Gurman. Gurman’s research suggests Apple’s preparation provides a major update to the forthcoming iPad Pro with the availability of MagSafe Charging.

The last update to iPad Pro is claimed to have been provided in the year 2018, after the 2017 launch of iPad Pro 10.5. The updates included a classy Apple design, a USB-C cable, as well as the edges covering the display.

It was also seen that Apple launched the previous iPad Pro version powered with an M1 chip in May 2021. Likewise, the newest launch may see a light in a year.

Meanwhile, Apple on its “Peek Performance” event displayed the newest iPad Air, but all it provided was an updated version of the iPad Pro. However, Gurman has last year pronounced the latest launch to be the one featuring the availability of wireless charging and the glass back system. Though some credible sources suggest of the omission of the glass backing and the integration of aluminum back with the Apple logo could be the overall outcome of the overhaul.

Moreover, Apple is yet to corroborate the information about the expected integration of the M2 chipset predicted by Gurman himself. According to Mark Gurman, the iPad Pro’s updated version CPU will be faster than the previous one, showcasing the eight-core architecture. He expects that the company will possibly use the M2 not only in the new iPad Pro but also in the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro, including Mac Mini, and 24-inch iMac set to release this year. Meanwhile, there are two different predictions for the chipset being used in the revamped iPad Pro. Gurman thinks M2 is powering the system, whereas Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has a different thought and predicts the use of the M1 chipset instead.
