Charlotte and Tom married on 21 April 2018 having a lakeside marquee reception afterward, in Thornton Hough, Wirral. The couple had always wanted a marquee wedding, easy and elegant, with a lot of foliage. They pulled together their vision during the day with a little color inspired through the coral, grey, and burnt orange embroidery around the bridesmaids' gowns.

"I am not a 'girly-girl' and didn't want plenty of flowers. Any sprinkle of color like the bouquets and wedding cake originated from the bridesmaid's dresses which I had picked frantically inside a sale. We had plenty of candles and gold lanterns also it all joined together really well."

The fine art photographer captured the celebrations in her own signature crisp, airy style.

"We had our photos made by Jessica Reeve Photography and we are absolutely within the moon together! Jess was lovely and relaxed and we love her natural, candid style. We are not 'posey' so weren't sure the way the ones on our very own would come out but we'd such a laugh."

"It was important to us that people didn’t spend quite a long time doing our formal group photos. Jess was amazing and also the formal shots were so quick and painless but looked so perfect! The day was spent either howling with laughter or using the biggest smiles on our faces and Jess captured that."

"I find the Payton dress, Versailles Top, and Ivory Silk Sash. I also got the sleeves to include one which was made. I had seen an image of this dress and top on Pinterest and instantly fell in love but believed that the chances of it suiting my shape were pretty slim."

"I always wanted something easy and timeless. I loved that I could take the very best off at night and have a different look."

Charlotte's simple veil was from and she or he added elegant diamond earrings owned by her mum along with a silver necklace. She also borrowed her mum's perfume.



Charlotte and Tom happen to be together since their university days and were engaged for 1.5 years before their April marriage.

"We met on our first trip to university and lived along with friends for the very first two years but didn't start seeing one another until after we'd split on lived with others. We got engaged after six years. Tom proposed within the Lake District. He planned to get it done at Ladore Falls however the weather was terrible so he did it within the pagoda on the grounds of the hotel. There was an open-air picnic hamper there with Champagne in – he explained to look within the hamper so that as I turned back around he was recorded on one knee. It was private and excellent."

"The best surprise was whenever we went down to dinner. We walked around the corner within the restaurant and each of our families has there been. I'd were built with a few portions of Champagne at this time and cried my eyes out. He had taken each of our mums and my sister to assist pick the ring and I like it."

The groom decided on a timeless, classic style, visiting for his navy suit and for that grey waistcoat.

"The ceremony is Tom's best memory. We managed to get short and didn't want hymns. We aren't probably the most serious of individuals and don't like being the center of attention but made sure that people looked and spoke to one another the entire time; there could happen to be no one else for the reason that church. The Minister seemed to be great coupled with a brilliant feeling of humor!"

"I made our wedding cake for us and we loved it! She is an instructor but makes cakes in her own spare time. We wanted an enjoyable and colorful cake and she or he delivered. She is so creative and talented. It was three tiers covered in multi-colored flowers with gold icing."

The couple's selection of the first song was happily within their evening band's repertoire.

"My best memory was at the finish of the night time when everyone had started leaving. We sat together at the very best table within the marquee. I sat on his knee and we just took stock and talked about your day. The marquee is beautiful using the fairy lights around the ceiling and all from the candles. It would be a moment I will always remember."

"Make sure spent time together – this was important to us and that we managed that very well actually. In between some of the 'scheduled' things we ensured we sneaked off together."
