Subaru cars: advantages and disadvantages

The main technical advantages of Subaru models are:

A light, reliable and compact opposition engine;

1) low centre of gravity, which prevents the car from vibrating while driving

2) symmetrical drive which makes you feel confident behind the wheel in any situation;

3) a centre spread sensor on each wheel, enabling the car to be driven safely on a variety of road surfaces.

In the 1990s, Subaru cars started to take part in various racing competitions and regularly won prizes.

Technology used to create racing versions of cars of this automobile brand, are now used for the production of conventional cars for everyday driving. By the way, the Subaru concern produces all parts and spare parts for its cars by itself. The factory does not cooperate with any suppliers, and therefore each spare part produced here is unique and of the highest Japanese quality.

This, by the way, explains the rather high cost, even if a used Subaru car is sold. A car of this brand will serve its owner for many years without any major problems. Subaru is perfectly suitable for Russian roads and weather conditions. However, you should not treat it as an SUV - this is primarily a car for a comfortable ride in the city and on the highway. Even though it doesn"t feature premium interior trim, its engine quality exceeds all expectations, and many Subaru owners attest to this.

Shortcomings

It"s hard to talk about the Subaru"s shortcomings - there are still far fewer of them than there are merits. Perhaps the most important of them is that Subaru repairs are an expensive treat. In addition, spare parts for this make are also not cheap, and they are difficult to find in free sale. In most cases, you have to order them and wait for some time. In general, maintenance of a Subaru car is much more expensive than maintenance of any other car.

The owners point out another disadvantage of Subaru - poor noise isolation - the sounds from outside can be clearly heard inside the car, up to tyres" noise. The drivers also state that there is not enough space behind the steering wheel, and the space inside the cabin is very limited. If you move the driver"s seat back, you can disturb the passenger who is sitting right behind the driver. One more subtlety is connected with it - a person of large build can hardly feel himself comfortably at a wheel of Subaru.
