This entry is key regarding the matter of confidence and works. The interior artistic cognizance is currently very clear. The story line is comparative in the two pieces of the section. It starts with an underlying inquiry (1.14), trailed by a theoretical case (2.3; 15.16), which closes with an inquiry (4.16). In one case we have the legitimate irregularity of conduct (6,7), in the other the affectation of isolating confidence and works is diminished to idiocy (18,19). Similarly that (2: 8-11) implies confidence that complies with the law of adoration, (in 2: 20-25) the instances of respectful confidence of Abraham and Rahab are introduced. The completion is comparative with "so… so" (12) and "so as well" (26).
