The rhinoplasty procedure is the art and science of changing the shape or contour of the human nose to improve its aesthetics and functionality. The surgery is only done after a thorough analysis of the patient’s nasal anatomy and considering both the patient’s expectations and the surgeon’s goals. The plastic surgeon may also correct any nasal contour deformities during the procedure. Furthermore, the rhinoplasty procedure can be used to correct the shape of the tip of the nose, adjust the size of nostrils, saddle nose, deviated septum, dorsal humps, and reduce the width of the nose bridge, which helps the patient look younger. The nose reshaping surgery is commonly an outpatient procedure, and the patient may be discharged the same day, depending on the plastic surgeon’s discretion. It is typically performed under local or general anaesthesia to ensure the patient’s comfort. During the procedure, an incision is made on the nose to gain access to the nasal bone and cartilage. To create a new shape or repair a deviated septum. A filler or fat graft may also be used to give a uniform contour to the nose.
