I'm new here and I just have a question about my kid. She's 12 years old and I'm worried about her safety online. She's starting to use the internet more and more for school projects, but I don't trust the people she might be talking to. How can I keep her safe?

In my experience, the best way to keep your child safe online is to have a conversation with them about what they should and shouldn't do when using the internet. You should also make sure that you're setting up their device so that it's protected by some kind of parental control software or app. This will help keep them from accessing websites or apps that may be harmful (or even just distracting!). You can try to supervise them and limit their contact with the Internet, but ultimately there are too many things that you can't monitor. You can't know what they're doing or who they're talking to, and you can't control what other people post around them.
