The screen will provide users with at least two configuration techniques such as Wireless LAN and USB connection.

For your technique, press the radio button in front of Wireless LAN Connection and press Next.

Furthermore, the Wireless LAN Connection is split into two other wireless router (Recommended) and Direct Connection techniques.

Select the Connect button via wireless radio router (Recommended) and then select Next.

Make sure it turns on the printer.

The software initiates the detection of printers as it looks for the printers already attached to the network.

For a first-time Canon Pixma MX490 setup, the list will be blank.

Then inspect the box that could not be discovered on the list against Setting Printer and press the Next button.

If the printer is already on the list, it should be enough to just click the Next button.
