Effervescent supplements present a more refreshing, fizzy method of taking supplements and therefore, attract high consumer appeal. In the July 2008 Nutrition Business Journal, it was estimated that between 2005 and 2008 15 percent of supplements sold in the United States were effervescent products. This novel concept of nutrient delivery is drawing more nutraceutical manufacturers to explore effervescent manufacturing for their products.
